石了了 Eric Shi
石了了是一位高中二年级的学生。他从六岁开始下国际象棋，至今已经9年了。
了了的一位朋友把他引入这个象棋世界，当时他还住在北卡，之后就开始入迷了，并经常参加联赛。他加入了一个俱乐部，由一位很出色的教练带领。这位教练当时的积分是1600-1900，这也是了了目前的积分。这个俱乐部组织了很多联赛，了了得了很多奖。两年后，他搬到了南卡，并从此不断参加附近城市的各种联赛，包括Reverse Angle, Charlotte Open, Land of the Sky, Castle Chess Grand Prix等等，获得各种奖项。他不仅击败同龄人，还击败了很多年长的棋友。经历了这些锻炼，他的棋艺获得了长足的进步，最高USCF积分达到1800。他也因此交了很多朋友，游历了很多地方。
最近几年，由于时间有限，了了不能花很多时间参加竞赛了。但他开始教年龄小的孩子下棋。在他的教会朋友的帮助下，他成功地组办了两届象棋夏令营。2022年是第一次，夏令营非常受欢迎。今年暑假（2023年）他又举办了一次，人数从2022年的20人增加到了25人。
自2022年冬，了了开始教授私课，目前有4个学生。他虽没时间参加比赛，他仍然对象棋保持着极大的热情，并花很多时间来训练孩子们。他非常喜欢。

About Him:
Eric, a sophomore at Eastside High School, has been playing chess since he was 6 years old in North Carolina. He joined a chess club with a coach with a rating of 1600-1900 and hosted several tournaments. Two years later, he moved to South Carolina and attended the South Carolina State Scholastic tournament every year. Eric also participated in open tournaments against seniors, such as Reverse Angle, Charlotte Open, Land of the Sky, and Castle Chess Grand Prix. His chess techniques and experience were significantly promoted through practice and tournament experience, reaching a USCF rating of around 1800. Eric has visited many interesting places and made good friends. In recent years, he has been training juniors to play chess and ran two summer chess camps with the support of his church friends. The popularity of the camps increased from 20 to 25 attendees in 2022 and is expected to grow in the future.
What He is doing:
Eric has been teaching private chess lessons since November 2022 and currently has 4 private students. Although he doesn’t have time to play competitive chess, he still holds great passion in chess and committed as much time as possible to help young kids to enjoy the fun of chess.
