Hope Abides, So Do We

-- Help Heal and Rebuild China Earthquake Areas

hope

The Sichuan Earthquake occurred on May 12, 2008 in China has caused life of many people and school children, many more were injured and homeless. Rescuers are still fighting against frequent aftershocks to save lives and help survivors. But the survivors are not intimidated by this disaster and the heroic efforts exhibited by the Chinese people have moved all of us. Even though they are surrounded by debris, the Chinese people are going to heal the wounded, parent the orphans, and rebuild their homes and the 7,000 lost schools. As a non-profit educational organization, the Greenville Chinese School is working with the Chinese Association of East Carolina University faculty, Staff and Friends to raise funds for reconstruction of an elementary school, the Yuli Elementary School (禹里小学) in Beichuan County (北川县), Sichuan Province. Through these efforts, we hope that the message can be passed to the people in the earthquake region that the world is with you to rebuild the schools and homes.

And here’s how we can help …
